Hey Steve, long time since we’ve connected and miss you guys. I now read Substack and came across your story. I loved it and relate to it on so many levels right now. 1) you remember I’m a therapist so of course love to unravel couples conflict 2) I know you and Shelly so nice to hear a little story about the two of you 3) Jay and I watch the reruns of everybody loves Raymond every night and this evening their was a big conflict that needed a bunch of sitting out 4) it was reminiscent of certain unresolvable conflicts between Jay and 5) i’ve always loved your humor 6) wondering what Shelly did feel about the episode. Leads me to the next comment. I’m going to call you guys soon to say hello
Skro: Today Monique + I were biking on the Cape. Stopped for coffee + took turns reading your piece out loud to each other. And we just HOWLED w/ laughter. The notion of what wld happen if you (or I) left without our partners is one of those terrible things (like dreaming that you die) that your mind won’t actually let you imagine
Dunkirk. I loved all of this, but for some reason, it was that reference that made me laugh out loud.
Love such specific feedback. That helps me.
And I love such specific references. My next favorite thing to words that have fallen out of use, and hooliganism.
1) This is would get my ass in a seat to read/watch more any old day, it’s fantastic.
2) Thank you for justifying all the mishegoss loosely inspired by my life I’ve laid out in my scripts.
3) Made me feel my climactic scene in my short film is indeed a high steaks dilemma even if shorts don’t necessarily have act breaks.
4) Thank you for making the funniest part of my day with your AIS post! Sooooo fun & human & real!
Thank you!
Loved this column! Such a great read. Thanks, Steve!
excellent ! i love your writing: i see and feel it all--HAAAAHAAAA
I love this! Now I want to watch the episode - is there a link or clue to where I can find it?
Not sure. There is a scene on Youtube but I think full episodes are behind a paywall.

Exactly Eddie! I was not kidding about the shiver when Phil uttered those words.
Could you have Shelley publish her list? Just for the record.
It's gotten much longer by now.
I'm sure your public would appreciate an executive summary, at least.
It's implied in the story. Don't make me do all the work.
Spot on and very funny. Marriage is indeed a complicated dance. I read it and then played the audio for my husband. So glad I heard it, too. Thanks!
That makes me very happy, Judy!
Always great to read
Always great to see you, Scotty!
